Updates to Our Privacy Policy
We are updating our Privacy Policy. The updated version takes effect on November 23, 2026. This update explains the advertising pixel on our website, www.lightweight.run, and updates related statements in the current version to reflect it.
What is changing
- Our website uses the Meta Pixel, an advertising tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. ("Meta"). The updated Privacy Policy explains what information Meta collects directly through the pixel when you visit our website, why it is used, what we do not send to Meta, and how you can opt out.
- The statement about essential cookies on our web services now notes that our website also uses advertising cookies. The statement that advertising identifiers are not used for targeted advertising now refers specifically to our mobile and tablet apps, which still do not use them for that purpose.
- We have clarified that we do not sell your personal information for money, and that some U.S. state privacy laws may treat the website pixel as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Nothing changes in how we handle the information in your member account, your Workout Data, or your Biometric Data. The pixel is not used in our mobile and tablet apps or the administrator portal.
Comparison of the current and updated versions
Section 13 of our Privacy Policy provides that material changes are announced with a comparison of the old and new versions. The main changes are summarized below. You can read either version in full using the version selector at the top of the Privacy Policy page.
| Section | Current version (effective August 27, 2026) | Updated version (effective November 23, 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Section 1. Information We Collect | Automatically collected information lists IP address and service usage records only | Adds information about website visits, such as pages viewed and quote requests, which Meta collects directly through its advertising pixel |
| Section 2. How We Use Your Information | Five purposes | Adds a sixth purpose: measuring the performance of our advertising and showing interest-based advertising on Meta's services, through the website pixel |
| Section 3. How We Share Your Information | States that we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising | States that we do not sell personal information for money, discloses that the website pixel may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some U.S. state laws, and refers to Section 7 |
| Section 6. Transfers to AI and Analytics Providers in the United States | No reference to the website pixel | Explains that the pixel is not a transfer by us, because Meta collects the information directly, and refers to Section 7 |
| Section 7. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Identifiers | Web services use essential cookies; advertising identifiers are not used for targeted advertising | Notes that our website also uses advertising cookies, and limits the advertising identifier statement to our apps. Adds "Advertising Pixel on Our Website": the information Meta collects, its purposes, what we do not send, Meta's processing in the United States, a statement that third parties, including Meta, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites, how our website responds to Do Not Track signals, and how to opt out (browser settings, Meta ad preferences, and industry opt-out tools) |
